The National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and the National Hypnotherapy Society (HS) are not for profit professional organisations whose purpose is to ensure that all of their registrants are safe, competent and ethical practitioners. We refer to them as ‘the Societies.’

NCPS Condition status
In May 2025, we completed our assessment of Conditions One, Two and Three and found that the NCPS had met these conditions. You can read our report which highlights the actions taken by the NCPS, below. We will update the status of the remaining conditions in due course.
NCPS Targeted Review status
Following our most recent assessment we did not identify a need for a Targeted Review.
